Would be good to monitor trends other museums/attractions around the country and admission charges to see what is done elsewhere. I know that when our family travels to other centres, we are happy to pay domestic admission charges to quality experiences.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Would really love to see savings made from greater efficiency between infrastructure and water projects. Our street was resurfaced recently only to have it dug up 3 weeks later because a sewer pipe was scheduled for replacement (it had failed months earlier). It seemed to be such a waste of resources.
Support Marlow Park and Mosgiel playground upgrade but keep Woodhaugh as a natural space. Its not suitable as a destination playground - the local population is mostly university students and there isn't enough parking suitable for young families to make it convenient to visit.
Please keep Sunday parking free for families to have an option to shop in the city. The amount of annual revenue doesn't seem worth it. But please continue to monitor illegal parking on George St. Too many people are parking in non parking areas, making it unsafe for pedestrians and cyclicts.
