No
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I thank the council for its clear, colorful and well-laid out consultation documents and summaries for its 9yr plan. Your design team should be commended.
I want the council to continue its work on reducing carbon emissions and adapting the city to Climate Change. The Council should remain diligent and focused on achieving faster progress to achieve zero emissions.
I support the council's investment in working with mana whenua to shape the city's future. Together the council and mana whenua should ensure that the cultural and environmental treasures of our city are sustained in perpetuity.
I support the Heritage Action Plan.
I understand that the Dunedin Urban Cycleways Tunnels Trail programme is delayed and subject to additional co-funding. I support the Council continuing its commitment to restarting the project quickly when additional resources become available.
I urge the Council to remain focused on the bigger, longer-term (beyond 9 years), picture for our beautiful city – a city that is healthy and caring for its people and visitors, is sustainable and resilient, that respects diversity and different cultural identities, that is reducing emissions and preparing positively for the challenges of climate change, and maintains its healthy environments and strong biodiversity (that it remains the wildlife capital of NZ).
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
The Council’s preferred option: an in-house delivery model
Why did you choose this option?
I support the council continuing with the responsibility for controlling and managing the three waters programme. I want the elected members to remain directly accountable for the equitable and efficient delivery of these services, and ensure that there are experienced staff in council to manage and maintain their functioning, resilience and health in an efficient and integrated way.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
I want the council to ensure that Dunedin's water services are resilient to the potential effects of climate change. The repair work must be done with proficient contractors focused on reasonable costs, and underpinned with carbon emission reduction methods, and high health and safety standards.
I support the council's investment in working with mana whenua to shape the city's current and future water services. Together the council and mana whenua should ensure that the cultural and environmental treasures of our city are well maintained and sustained in perpetuity.
