Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
If it can be leased out for rental income at market rate even better. If it can't be leased out then get someone to organise dramas/stage shows there, whatever that can generic income to lessen ratepayers burden.
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
But I suggest the starting fee of $15 to make it more attractive and affordable to International visitors. To make it attractive for international visitors at $20 there should be multi lingual signs/pamphlets given so that visitors (international ones especially) feel that they gain value for the entry payment.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
NZ folks should not bear ACC costs for International Visitors. All international tourist should purchased a standard basic Insurance cover payment/policy before being allowed in. this will alleviate cost to NZ taxpayers especially in terms of poor drivers, risk taking visitors, scooter users (they are a pest leaving scooters allover the place, hazard creation, and whizzing past erratically and illegally etc.
