Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
As long as it remains on the heritage list.

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
$20 is a bit steep for travellers. Perhaps $10 would be more encouraging? We do want people to visit!

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
As a resident of Portobello, my whanau and I enjoy using Te awa Otakou/Peninsula Connection every day, especially for our kids, who now walk and bike to school. It’s been disappointing that this hasn’t been completed, especially the section of road across from Coronation Hall and the Pirate Park in Portobello, one of the most used pieces of road for children, and also me of the most dangerous. The footpath is narrow, crumbling into the sea I places, pot holed, and the thing that is the most dangerous about it is that the pathway heavily slopes downward into the road, which means anyone cycling, pushing a pram, or scootering needs to work hard to stay on the path and not end up in front of traffic. As you can imagine, for small children this is incredibly difficult, especially when lots of kids have just begun to ride. This area was supposed to have a causeway constructed on it, but has just been left unfinished with gravel for the last few years. It’s imperative that this is finished, and I would argue before its ‘Year 4’ proposed schedule of 2028/29, as the connection to Portobello school also needs to be completed urgently. Please keep our local kids safe!
