Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Dcc has a role to play in supporting city infrastructure for the arts, contributing to an interconnected approach to community wellbeing.
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
I support open access to our museum and gallery institutions, they have a vital role in education and this needs to include our international visitors. Additionally charging fees for all tourism related activities may impact visitor numbers to these places and overall economic benefit the industry brings to the city.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Fund the completion of Te Awa Ōtākou, in years 2, 3 and 4. First priority is fisheries section, the road is so narrow I am worried about safety and road degradation. Second priority is Portobello school section, I cannot understand that the school is not able to enjoy the same safety improvements that Broad Bay and Macandrew Bay have when those two schools are not adjacent to the main peninsula road! PBO students even have to navigate vehicles on the pedestrian access way from PBO village to the school!
Ensure Taki Haruru is resourced so the implementation plan can be successfully delivered and Council is able to meet its commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
No to budget for grass verges, I encourage wild growth for increased biodiversity.
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
The Council’s preferred option: an in-house delivery model
Why did you choose this option?
Reduced risk of privatisation, more opportunities for community input to the maintenance and care of water networks within our city. I also live in an area that relies on rain water supply for drinking water, and I’m worried about the mechanisms for a CCO to prioritise city planning and work towards reticulation for rural areas.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
