9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I am writing to express my strong support for continued investment in the entrepreneurial and startup space as part of the 9-Year Plan. When I started Scannable (www.scannable.io) I had no idea about how to build a technology business. Startup Dunedin positioned me to learn from the right people and practise the skills needed to gain investment. We have now raised over $8m NZD in capital, mostly spent on employees in Otago. We also plan to build a global business from Otago, contributing conversatively 10s of millions, optimistically 100s of millions in annual revenue. There are quite a few startup supporting entities across New Zealand. Dunedin has the unique position of actually adding value to their cohorts of startups, which, in my experience, unfortunately, is not the norm in NZ. Investing in Startup Dunedin and the team running it is an investment in Dunedin's medium and long-term economy. Technology is obviously the future. Building an ecosystem in Dunedin to support technology businesses starting out will drive growth, create opportunities, and help Dunedin remain vibrant, diverse, and future-focused.
