9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Perhaps
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
The Plan should include dog kennels. I live near “Paws Inn” in Purakaunui. The kennel, bizarrely located at the top of a hill, has 5-6 hours of barking daily, audible even through closed windows. The kennel’s response is “dogs bark”. Dog numbers were set at 50 in the 2004 Consent, then even though they admitted to breaching their dog limits, the Council allowed an increase to 60 dogs in the 2010 Consent (shouldn’t they have been fined?). Council should make plans to put (properly soundproofed) kennels where they cannot affect residents, ie not where barking projects over a wide area. Plan for that, and close down this facility which seems to be compromised (due to location, poor operating practices & difficult for Council to monitor).
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
The Council’s preferred option: an in-house delivery model
Why did you choose this option?
Seems most sensible.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
Need to ensure users are motivated to keep an eye out for leaks and wastage.
