9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I would like to see explicit attention to protecting and enhancing native biodiversity, including the small creatures such as lizards and invertebrates that contribute to our local wildlife (I could not see this in the plan)
As part of this, I would like to see consideration of alternative ways of managing roadside verges with more native planting and less maintenance with fossil-fuel-powered equipment and the pesticides that I assume are involved
I support work to reduce carbon emissions by the city and would like to see this strengthened
I support efforts to work with the South Dunedin community to manage impacts from sea-level rise including discussions around relocation
I appreciate the efforts of DCC staff involved in producing the consultation documents including the attractive fold-out graphic identifying some projects in the plan
Kā mihi/thank you
