9 yr plan 2025 and Local Water Done Well Submission

Submission

9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
What a tragedy of Shakespearian proportion has the letting go of this building been. It's also been a marker for the decline of theatre in Dunedin. Really sad. And what do you mean by "remove" as a strategic asset? It is a landmark bu8ilding situated in a very good place to be seen and appreciated under the "Heritage" atmosphere of Dunedin. I thin it's an incredibly important and beautiful building.

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
In your yes or no options above, you are being general about who, but just above you mention international visitors. Keep the gallery free for locals as we pay for it anyway through our rates, and yes, charge out of town visitors - and for NZ residents who live elsewhere, a lower price than international visitors. Most international visitors will be happy enough to pay as they do in most other places around the world. The exchange rates, for most other countries, counterbalances the fees anyway.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Nothing to do with this submission's focus. But please make it easier for residents to know which councillor has voted which way. Sitting through the videos presented on YouTube, which is appreciated, is really time consuming and it is straight forward information that surely can be published, in brief, who/yay/nay and maybe a line on why. It seem convoluted to have to sift through all this stuff. We elect councillors to represent us, and I would like to understand how each and every one of my votes is doing.

Local Water Done Well feedback

Which water services delivery model do you support?

Why did you choose this option?

Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
You will have to wait for the Labour Party to return to be able to make any fair assessments on whether it is three waters or an in house delivery model. You absolutely need to fully comprehend that our environment is declining faster than most of you realise. Fresh water is going to be an issue. Life cannot exist without water. (Obvious, I know). Do the right thing for the people, not corporations gaining benefit from our collective current and for-seeable travesties.
