9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
HOWEVER there needs to be one smaller theatre identified on the plan and made functional and available to community theatre groups to use - is there not a partnership set up for this purpose?
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Should just be advertised as an entry fee... and then a locals discount published ... I don't think we should be overtly advertising to only charge international visitors ...
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
1. The Tunnels trail must go ahead. The 1 million in year 9 should come forward to year one .. Peninsular can go back a year for this - Tunnels should be included in strategic transport plan
2. The work of the Dunedin Tracks Network trust should be supported - and $50k per year included to enable them to leverage other funding sources to get the 5 trails underway
3. A clip-on at the Outram Bridge (SH87) should be included in strategic transport plan
4. Tunnels Trail should be included in strategic transport plan
5. Taieri Trail should be included in strategic transport plan - and economic development plan - and social well being plan
6. Destination playgound should be in the taieri and $18m funds should be spent
7. Smooth Hill dump should be abandoned
