It should be sold and the money put into an arts venue that our city desperately needs.
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
International visitors are willing to pay and the money could go towards the community
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Dunedin desperately needs an arts venue. As someone who has been involved in the playhouse children’s theatre it’s essential to our city for the growth of our Tamariki both on and off stage. Growing up here as a child I benefitted from the playhouse and fortune theatres but the lack of both is an incredible loss to our city. Our council needs to support the arts and development of children and families in this space.
