Submission
Variation 2 change ID Change IN05 Provision name and number, or address and map layer name Rezoning from general residential 1 to general residential 2 mornington My/our submission seeks the following decision from the Council: Reject the change Details Reasons for these views The existing infrastructure is inadequate to support increased housing density between Hawthorn Avenue and Napier Street. The storm water course is an open creek in a gully between 1,5 and 7 Napier streets and 46A and 46B Hawthorne Avenue and 40B Hawthorn Avenue. The creek is piped at the boundary of 1 Napier Street and 2 Beaumont Road. The pipe diameter is not large enough for the volume of water generated by heavy rain. There are two back up access points to the storm water pipe on the land at 2 Beaumont Road that shares a boundary with 34A Hawthorn Avenue, flooding of the low-lying parts of 2 Beaumont Road and 1 Napier Street occur when pipe and storm water access block with leaves, debris etc. Piping and the storm water into the creek from 40B Hawthorn Avenue has recently taken place at the boundary with 1 Napier Street which has increased the intensity of water flow close to the storm water pipe.
