Variation 2 change ID 52 (235 Signal Hill Rd)
Provision name and number, or address and map layer name I am writing in strong support for submission # 808263 regarding 235 Signal Hill Rd ID #52
My/our submission seeks the following decision from the Council: Accept the change with amendments outlined below
Details Site 52 [235 Signal Hill Rd] Consider amendments before acceptance or rejection of change. Do not allow development in areas of established or regenerating native bush
Reasons for these views In regards to the proposed rezoning of a lower portion of 235 Signal Hill Rd [Site 52] it is seen that areas of high biodiversity value, and established / regenerating native bush will be put into jeopardy by the proposed development. It is suggested that the development is altered in order to avoid the clearing of native bush, with alternative sites proposed for housing which will not impact on existing native bush and urban / peri-urban wildlife corridors which will be valuable looking forward into the future. It is also proposed that some elements of community amenity are incorporated into the project to create a truly sustainable example of development for the city of Dunedin. Please refer to the supporting document by Barton Acres for full details of the submission and proposed alterations.
