Submission
Variation 2 change ID F1-5 Provision name and number, or address and map layer name 9.3.3 Firefighting My/our submission seeks the following decision from the Council: Accept the change with amendments outlined below Details F1-5 - Accept the change to paragraph 2(a). Amend paragraph 2(b) to read as follows: b. provide an area of minimum dimensions of 4.5m x 11m with suitable fire engine access, water storage of 45,000 litres (45m³) or equivalent firefighting capacity, and have the water supply located within 90m of the fire risk, or otherwise provide for water supply and access to water supplies for firefighting purposes consistent with the current version of SNZ/PAS 4509 New Zealand Fire Service Firefighting Water Supplies Code of Practice. Reasons for these views No opposition to change ID F1-5 based on alignment with the current SNZ/PAS4509 Firefighting Water Supplies Code of Practice document. Further amendment suggested to allow future applications under section 9.3.3 to be considered within the scope of the most up-to-date / current version of SNZ/PAS4509.
