Submission
Variation 2 change ID IN08 & IN09 Provision name and number, or address and map layer name My/our submission seeks the following decision from the Council: Reject the change Details Reasons for these views We recently purchased home for ourselves in Roslyn. I am concerned proposed changes will facilitate ill-considered developer(s) driven residential 'housing' - Not homes - attractive to investors looking for a ($) return with little/no intention/desire to live in. With increased $ value of land the existing housing stock becomes expendable as do the trees & gardens - families are excluded. Long term residents sell out and leave - the developers $ is too attractive & the neighbourhood os being decimated anyway. The birds have long gone! There are no longer lovely places to live for an interesting & diverse community (with particular reference to sect32 report) change is of course inevitable. There is already much variety of housing type & use & ownership. I note the great mixed use development at the Roslyn shops. Change can absolutely be positive but must be more sensitively handled. The current proposals are sweeping, broad brush & potentially devastating. A more subtle, considered approach is required.
