It has sat there for nearly nine years and could have been sold to support ongoing Arts Development in the city. Urgent action needs to be taken

I now live in Pōneke , Wellington but worked at the Fortune Theatre for 30 years and appeared in more plays than any other performer. I am so saddened that Dunedin now has no venue for professional theatre. I recently attended a touring production in the Mayfair.; There was an overpowering smell of mould and the sight lines were atrocious However both nights were full, so come on Dunedin there is a dire need to upgrade premises for performance in your city..
