9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
I support keeping all historical protections on building and doing all you can to avoid buyer removing the building
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I strongly support the Ōtepoti live music action plan and relevant funding.
I strongly support proposal to fund trains.
I do not support investment in the stadium, New public toilets or investment in New parks (despite having young children).
Instead, I strongly support reinstating the cycle path to mosgeil. This opens up significant opportunities for locals and visitors. The cycle paths around the harbor are a massive asset and this new cycleway would be too.
I would also prefer more investment in social infrastructure like buses and community housing. These are more critical in financially challenging times.
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
The Council’s preferred option: an in-house delivery model
Why did you choose this option?
More streamlined. Dunedin is not large enough to justify two separate organizations. Water delivery is very tied into wider fabric of society and one council is better placed to make more holistic decisions
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
I understand water metering is on the cards. I would support this.
