9 yr plan 2025 and Local Water Done Well Submission

Submission

9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
If we are to charge an international fee this should be applied also to Tūhura Otago Museum.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I believe it would be a disservice to our communities to renege on commitments to build cycling and walking infrastructure between central Dunedin and Mosgiel. The removal of the tunnels trail work from the LTP is a loss for residents and business owners. Infrastructure that promotes active transport (walking, biking, skating) is much needed for our suburbs and should be a priority for connecting our south Dunedin residents with schools, businesses and other amenities in the central city. This infrastructure would be a huge boon for the city as it promotes healthier transport options, supports a reduction in emissions, and would improve community resilience.

Local Water Done Well feedback

Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)

Why did you choose this option?
I believe it is important to separate long term infrastructure decisions from our three yearly local political cycle

Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
