How to get involved
The next phase of the CCP will focus on developing more detailed plans and concepts for the projects included in the plan. The Council has not decided on any specific design solutions for these projects. There will be further opportunities to input into these projects as they are being developed and they move from planning to concepts and then to more detailed designs. This planning, design and consultation will be the focus of the period between 2015 and 2018. Work on most transformational projects will not begin until after 2018 and it will then be staged over a 10-15 year period, subject to funding and other conditions.
Consultation events will be advertised on the DCC website as they are held.

Sponsorship and partnerships
We realise that people in the area may be keen to see projects happen more quickly than the DCC project budget allows. Many of the initiatives proposed offer opportunities for partnerships with individuals, businesses or organisations. To discuss opportunities for partnerships or sponsorships of specific elements or projects, please contact us at centralcityplan@dcc.govt.nz
Art and design
There is a desire to incorporate greater art and design components as part of the physical improvements in the Central City Plan, including visual elements and other media. Expressions of interest for specific projects (e.g. entrance treatments, lighting design, amenity furniture, installations) will be released in an on-going manner, as Master Plans are implemented. To register your interest in receiving further information on these opportunities, please contact us at centralcityplan@dcc.govt.nz
