City service and city project grants application

City service grants support key organisations to help the city achieve its strategic goals, and whose work in the city significantly contributes to achieving the priorities of one or more of the Council’s key strategies.

City projects grants support key projects that directly contribute to the achievement to the priorities of one or more of the Council’s key strategies.

We recommend you contact us before you send us your application. We can give you advice and support for your service or project, and help you apply for a grant. We can also answer your questions about how to complete this application form and help with any problems with your application. Please refer to the Funding Strategic Criteria for guidance on meeting the criteria for City service and city projects grants. For full strategy information and documents please refer to the Dunedin City Council Strategic Framework page.

Please note where word limits are outlined for text boxes, you must keep your answer within these limits. The DCC will not accept additional documents to answer these questions Please only attach documents that are requested throughout the application form.

If you application was successful you will be required to complete an accountability report for the DCC by 30 April 2026.

This round of grant applications close Friday 16 May 2025.  The Dunedin City Council will not accept late or incomplete applications.

    We expect your organisation’s services or project will contribute to a number of DCC strategic goals. The degree of fit will help to determine eligibility for funding and the level of funding allocated.

    Please describe how you will meet at least three of the strategic priorities outlined in the DCC’s Strategic Frame work. It is not expected your event aligns with every priority – please select the strategy and comment on those applicable.
