Small project grants funding application

Important notice for funding applications

Please note that this website will be undergoing maintenance between 7pm Tuesday 23 September until 4pm Wednesday, 24 September.

During this time all funding application forms, including "Return to incomplete online form" links, will be unavailable.

If you are completing a form, please ensure your changes so far have been saved before the maintenance window begins.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

To support impacted applicants, the DCC has extended the grants application deadline to 5pm, Sunday 28 September for the following grants which were due to close this Friday:

  • Community funding
  • Community events funding
  • Creative Communities funding
  • DCC Arts funding
  • Professional Theatre funding
  • Waste Minimisation Community funding
  • Waste Minimisation Commercial funding

Up to $500 can be granted by the DCC for Small project grants to support community or arts projects.

Applications are open from 1 July through to 31 May each year, or until all annual funding has been allocated. Projects can be undertaken in June with funding applied for in May or earlier.

The DCC does not fund alcohol, food, fundraisers, costumes, religious or political projects. The DCC will not fund activities or projects that have already taken place.

    1. Start

    2. Save progress: you can start your application now, save it, and finish it later.

    • Check that you have entered your email address.

    • We will send you an email containing a link and a password.
    • If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us.
    • Save this email and use the link and password to return to your saved application as required.
    • Check that any uploaded files are still attached.
    • NOTE: this does NOT submit your application to DCC.

    3. Submit application

    • Click the Submit button after you have completed your application form and attached your files - this submits your application to DCC.
    • A thank-you page will appear - we recommend printing this page as a copy of your completed application.
    • We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your application - the confirmation will also contain a copy of your application.
    • If you do not receive a confirmation email or have any problems sending us your application, please contact us.

  • About your project

  • Your budget

    You will need to provide 50% investment toward the total cost of the project. Please include below the cost of your project, including your contributions and how much you are asking the DCC to fund.

    Contribution or matching by the community is defined as voluntary labour at the living wage and goods at cost price or cash.

    Have you or your group made an application to the DCC for a Small Project Grant within 12 months of this application? *(required) If yes, you will not be eligible.

    NB. The DCC may ask for proof of purchases after your project has taken place. Please keep all relevant receipts.
