The cycle lanes in the car door collision zone have been shown to be dangerous, killing at least one cyclist in Dunedin. I would support a two-way cycle lane close to a kerb on one side or the other, behind a row of parked cars, where if a car door opens, the cyclist won't swerve into moving traffic. It would be better to have no cycle lanes than the proposed "door lanes"
