The proposed changes to the George & Duke Street intersection, by the Willowbank Dairy, are positive so long as vehicles are prevented from using Inverleith Street as an alternative route to Malvern or Duke Streets. This is already a problem, with large trucks and cars using Inverleith as a route to avoid the traffic lights at Duke and George Streets. I am also concerned that some of proposed changes will add to the congestion on George Street during peak school pick up and drop off times. This road becomes completely impossible, with traffic congestion. Could the long term parking be taken away from outside George Street School for a purpose built pick up and drop off zone?
