Which option do you prefer
Option 2 (intersections, bus stops and cycle lane)

Do you support the proposed changes for
Bus stop improvements , Intersection improvements , Roundabout option 2 , St David St two way (St David St option 2) , Parking changes , Cycle lanes

Or do you disagree with the proposed changes for
Roundabout option 1 , St David St one way (St David St option 1)

Do you have any comments about the proposed changes
Absolutely support cycle infrastructure on these streets (would be crazy in 2023 to not provide these, cannot believe an option is mooted without any). However, the cycle lanes shown in the design are terrible and dangerous and need to be changed, they are currently shown to be exactly in the car door zone, where anyone opening a car-door while someone is cycling past could cause the cyclist to crash and potentially be thrown under car traffic and killed (exactly the situation where someone was killed outside the hospital initiating the protected cycle lanes on the one-ways - have we learnt nothing from that?). There needs to be protected cycle-lanes on the pavement side of parked cars, or remove all car parking on these streets instead to remove the opening car-door danger. While I support Option 2 as Option 1 is worse, this dangerous design is unacceptable and completely against the transport guidelines. In Belgium, unprotected cycle lanes in car door zones were known as 'murder lanes', as they are so dangerous for killing cyclists. I also support lower street speeds, everywhere.
