Fully support cycle lanes. Painted cycle lane in the door zone of cars is suboptimal and not safe for children cycling to george street school- should be a physical barrier between bikes and cars.
Cycle lanes should continue to intersections - not merge with traffic. It is not necessary to have 2 lanes of cars.
Kassel kerb with cycle path going onto pavement right outside the entrance to George St school by the pedestrian crossing potentially puts cyclists in conflict with children, pedestrians using the crossing and bus users.
In general number of car parks is not a priority. Pedestrians, cyclists and buses should be prioritised. Whole design needs more thought.
