The council seems to be determined regardless to make driving a motor vehicle in the inner city ridiculously complicated and frustrating. Normal motorists are now faced with negotiating farmyard fencing (yellow poles) and more cycle lanes where they already exist on SH1 (and hardly used?) Also inlane bus stops will stop the free flow of traffic which is vital. The narrowing of driving lanes, bulbous kerbs to manoevre around and raised areas for pedestrian crossings will only cause more complications. What happened to the old transport act that stated THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT FLOW OF ROAD TRAFFIC AND COMMONSENSE ????
