This doesn't seem the correct time to be implementing this decision. Times are tough enough already for both businesses in the CBD and consumers going to town. Our main street and surrounding areas, even the mall have many empty shops. We need to be encouraging people to come to town and enjoy the space. The option of free Sunday parking allows this - a quick catch up with friends and family at a cafe, shopping and so forth. I understand it is in the 9 year plan but sometimes plans need to be adapted to fit with the current climate.
