I would like to dispute the proposed Development Contribution Increases. I have attached a document that outlines my argument, but the main points are:
- Dunedin is already one of the most expensive centres to build in, largely due to the increased regulation and processing times from the council
- Dunedin has a housing shortage, these increases will discourage development in the city and increase the cost of entry level housing
- Infill developments increase the number of rate payers (and therefore revenue) on current infrastructure and should therefore be encouraged not discouraged. The developer already pays for any infrastructure upgrades required from infill developments.

Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)
Why did you choose this option?
The current council run 3 Waters model is not working, concerningly the 3 Waters team are operating outside of the
Building Act and are an authority only accountable to themselves. The current model is slowing down development and increasing the cost across the city. It is clear that the DCC does not have the appetite or efficiencies to run such an organisation internally
