Stopping of a part of White Road, Waitati

In exercise of the power contained in Section 342(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1974 and in accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the said Act, public notice is hereby given that the Dunedin City Council being the Local Authority having control of the roads in the City of Dunedin, proposes to stop a part of White Road, Waitati, shown as Section 1 SO 455684.

EXPLANATION

The above part of road is unformed and is not utilised for public access.  It is superfluous to the Dunedin City Council’s legal and physical road requirements and is not required for present or future road purposes. The area of Section 1 is 5960 m².

PURPOSE

Section 1 will be sold to the owner of the adjoining property at 26 White Road and will be amalgamated with Record of Title 616942. A Right of Way easement shown as “B” on LT 617670 will be registered on the stopped road to maintain existing vehicle access to the neighbouring property at 20 White Road (Record of Title OT 94/237).

Section 1 will assume the same land use zoning under the Dunedin City District Plan (2GP) as the adjoining property and its use will be in accordance with the terms and provisions of this zone.
